BECOMING A NURSING ASSISTANT For years I had the goal of being a nursing assistant. In order to achieve that goal, I've been researching the qualities of the job. I chose this career in depth. The requirements for the job include a high school diploma, nursing assistant training, at least 60 hours of classroom training, must pass knowledge and skills tests, criminal background checks, livescan fingerprint request before beginning. I can attend training at “Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training” for $1500.00 and it covers everything. My other option would be “Health Sciences College of California” $ 680.50. Lastly I also have the option to go to “Classes Ontario” and the Full Tuition is $1900. And I plan to assist the “Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training.” Becoming a nurse assistant requires to complete a short training program that lasts roughly eight weeks. They are also required coursework taken as part of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) degree program may also satisfy CNA training requirements. Relevant includes anatomy, patient rights, medical ethics, medical terminology, infection guidelines and knowledge of diseases.
