Our nurse was getting the point of view from all patients and according to them, and apparently the morning nurse started the situation when she prohibited a patient consuming coffee because it would raise the patient’s blood pressure and ironically, after a heated argument the patient’s blood pressure was around 180/110. I believe it was smart of our nurse to gather information by asking open-ended questions from different patients and not taking a side on the argument, also because she was well known and had a therapeutic relationship with the patients, they would trust her and share information without hesitating, unlike the other morning nurse who was apparently new, so the patients did not trust her and after the argument even less, because every single patient mention that she did not work out. So the moral of the story that having a nice relationship with the patients is only good and going to benefit all parties, hence is paramount for effective nursing
