The theory which I will incorporate into my practice is the theory of “Nursing as Caring”. Boykin and Schoenhofer (2001), the founders of Nursing as Caring theory, states that every person is caring and continues to grow in caring their whole life. The main idea of the theory is that everyone is inherently caring and that caring is an important part of human life. As a nurse, I must understand that every person, including myself, is a caring person. I may have to provide care for a criminal, but I must be able to see that person as a caring individual. By applying the theory to the nursing situations in my everyday practice and I will be able to perceive every person I meet during the day as a caring
