I am interested in the Day Shift, Full time Registered Nurse position on the Select Specialty Hospital Gulfport, MS. Mary Torjursen has referred me, her family and I have been friends for many years and through nursing school. You and I have met in the ICU at Ocean Springs hospital when you first came on board, I was the Epic support person for physicians at that time. I am a dedicated nurse that is looking for a career transition from the technical area of Informatics to the clinical area. My compassion for nursing and the desire to return to direct patient care that brings gratitude is important to me. The years of my nursing encompasses multiple areas along with my ability to learn quickly, organization skills, years of medical and surgical knowledge using the nursing process would make me an asset to the team. My years of work has been in Medical/Surgical and Perioperative nursing, and my intensive care experience was at Ascension Hospitals in Louisiana, every other weekend for extended care patients on ventilators and other critically ill long-term patients. I was certified as a Perioperative nurse, was able to work all areas including the PACU, and previously had my ACLS but need to renew again. Working in the perioperative setting and with ventilator patient and critically ill, I am used to a fast-paced environment, hard work, and working with emergency situations. My ability to be detail oriented, to multitask efficiently, and poised during critical procedures and in emergencies, instill quality patient, family, and community education, and build rapport with patients, families, staff would make me a resource for your …show more content…
