Back in high school, my hobbies revolved around arts. I used to have my own dance group and we performed various numbers at our school. Shortly after joining Vanier, I kept those hobbies, enrolled in some dance classes and performed during the Universal Break. But, as life of a college student started to weigh on me, I alternated my hobbies with staying home and watching on television shows such Friends. I chose the career program over the pre-university program because of one reason: experience. What is most intriguing about this program is the opportunity of gaining practical knowledge over theoretical classes; the opportunity to learn through a guided internship is far more preferable over a 3 hour lecture in a classroom, though I do know that the last one is inevitable. I find myself to be person who learns to perform a task in a live situation. I believe that the program is well suited for me to teach the skills that are necessary to provide care to another life on a hands-on approach. By getting into this program, I am confident that I will later do well in University, giving that I would have the practical
