When trying to find information about the Vietnam War, it taught me to not give up. Since the environment was stressful, dangerous, and toxic the nurses found a way to treat their patients. Even when they knew one of the soldiers were not going to make it, they found a way to make their last couple of minutes comfortable. It is not easy being surrounded by death everyday. You do not have to worry about other people opinions on how they want to proceed in an assignment. On the other hand working in groups help you bring in different ideas. Also the workload is easier when the group members are on the same page. My experience in this particular group was a little intimidating at first. The role that was chosen for me was the leader; it is not easy being in this position. The reason why is because people are looking at you to set an example. You cannot expect your people to do their work, if the leader is not doing it as well. In a collaborative standpoint, we learned how to respect one another opinions and ideas. Respect is an important factor in how successful a group will be. People will open up more, and they will feel more comfortable in expressing their own viewpoints.
