Any nurse who has worked in long term care know that the ability to deliver effective care to your patients is affected by the increased acuity and complexity of their health problem (Rodney, P; Doane, G.H.; Storch, J.; Varcoe, C. 2006). The patient to nurse ratio is getting out of hand and harder to handle. Nurses feel that they are unable to provide adequate care to their patients (Rodney, P 2006).
