Annotated Bibliography Bullying unfortunately still exist and is a growing problem in all of the health areas. I have focused my Annotated Bibliography on bullying amongst nurses. When I started to research this topic I didn 't realize there would be so many articles to choose from and how popular this topic was. It was overwhelming the attention that this topic has been given in the past and still generating great concern today. I have chosen four nursing journal articles that I found interesting.

International Nursing Review, 56(4), 504-511. doi:10.1111/j.1466-7657.2009.00745.x Yildirim has written an in-depth article about bullying, its effects, and how it is damaging the health care worker and the healthcare facility. Yildirim has used a variety of supporting references. Yildirim article is a Research article. In the first paragraph of this article, Yildirim alerts the reader that the acts of violence are alarmingly high damaging both the healthcare provider and the intuition (Yildirim,2009). She continues to describe research that indicates "that there are more victims of workplace psychological violence than other types of violence and harassment"(Chappell &Di Martino 2000). The first paragraph clearly defines the intent of the paper and the researcher 's findings. The authors report that bullying is not a new phenomenon but one that has plagued the nursing arena for decades and has and still is undermining the nursing professions. The paper draws the reader into the familiarity of yesterday and today 's terminology for workplace violence which has changed but the meaning has stayed the same. Fudge, L. (2006) also reiterates horizontal and vertical violence has existed in nursing for years but recently now are beginning to be discussed and
