Due to a never ending demand in health care occupations, the growth in job opportunities will continue to occur for nurse anesthetists. For example, the growth rate for APRNs like nurse anesthetists is predicted to grow 31% from 2012 to 2022. “Several factors, including health care legislation and the resulting newly insured, an increased emphasis on preventative care, and the large, aging baby-boom population will contribute to this demand” (“Nurse”). Bureau of Labor Statistics expect the amount of population who have access to health insurance will increase because of the health insurance reform legislation.
