Nurse Anesthetist Research Paper

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Every day as human beings, we work harder and harder to reach goals in life that we want to pursue. It’s what we live and die for. For me, my goal is to go to college and fulfil a dream of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist or also called a CRNA. Nurse Anesthetist are the nurses who work under an anesthesiologist who have the opportunity to knock people out during surgery. It's not a terribly hard job, but I think a CRNA has a very interesting job. According to JohnRich Levine, “It is the highest paying job for a nurse” (Levine, JohnRich 1). “The average salary range for this specialty field is between $100,000 and $200,000 per year depending on a variety of factors.”( Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Jobs 1). These factors include the hours that one decides to work and what facility with the number of patients you receive a day. That is enough to make a wonderful living even on your own plus some. As for the hours, a CRNA picks what they want to work. “The Nurse Anesthetist works a day on call and however many days they work, they will get off”(Snow).
In addition, the education make take a while to receive before you can work as a CRNA. To reach the goals of a Nurse Anethesist, someone has to “start with a bachelor’s in nursing(BSN) and a registered nursing license (RN)” (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 2). “Then one has to get experience working in either the ICU or the ER to gain experience for a minimum of one year before that person can go back to college to get the rest of their degree as a CRNA” (Bureau of Labor Statistics
