Thank you for everything you have done for me throughout my high school career. I feel fortunate to have had you for both biology and anatomy. I remember our 4th quarter project freshman and junior year. In biology, I had to research a career that interested me and present it to the class. During this project, I discovered I was interested in becoming a nurse anesthetist. Junior year we had to do a similar project, but take it one step farther and shadow a person in our chosen field. At this point, I was still stuck on being a nurse anesthetist, so that's what I did my research on. Shadowing a professional, helped assure me that I wanted to go into the medical field. If it wasn't for these projects, I probably would have never found the career I am pursing today. …show more content…
I remember dissecting animal parts after lunch and feeling rather uneasy. I also remember spending weeks going over DNA which made me think of you when I heard the quote, “You are unique, just like everyone else.” In these weeks, I got a better understanding of how unique everyone really is. It was amazing to see how everyone’s genetic makeup differs. On top of this, I learned how to keep my body healthy in anatomy. Im grateful you gave the class an opportunity to become CPR certified. It wasn't easy to organize everything for the certification class but it was a cool opportunity for the students.
I want to take the time to say thank you for being a more relaxed teacher. I felt tranquil in your class because I was never rushed on assignments which helped lower my stress level. It also helped me have a fun time in class because you made it welcoming. I look forward to your class because sometimes we spent thirty minutes connecting as a class and talking about

This goes for all professions. Although rugby and football appear similar, they each require some skill set or knowledge that the other has no use for. Learning different skills for no reason at all can be beneficial too.…

For three years, I studied the role of tumor microenvironment on breast cancer metastasis in Dr. Semenza’s laboratory at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As I studied the role of Hypoxia-inducible factor on integrin expression and subsequent cell motility, I learnt that cancer is a multi-faceted disease that consists of a web of multiple biological mechanisms as well as other arenas of science. Having exposed myself to…
