Number Recognition Case Study

For session 2, we did a basic facts assessment over number recognition with our client (flash cards). We decided to do the basic facts assessment over number recognition because that is the prerequisite for addition/subtraction and that is what our client currently learning about. Our client did really well with the basic facts, so for the next session we decided to move onto addition and subtraction. Session 3 is where we finally discovered some gaps that our client has. She had some trouble with subtraction: single/double digit and word problems. On the assessment, a subtraction problem read 8 – 7 = ?, our client put 2 as the answer. Another problem was 7 – 4 = ?, our client put 2 as the answer to this question as well. We also had subtraction
