Nuit Blanche Observation

From enactment art to the atmospheric, sound art to visual installations, Nuit Blanche is an event that propagates in admiration in numerous cities each year. The exhibit takes place all night, individuals can amble from one side of the city to the other observing, experiencing and even partaking in art expositions which range from secret tunnel vibrational drones, a contraption of metal tubes/containers that generate various reverberations when hit – creating a symphony done by the public, a post office where anyone may send a postcard to a stranger in the future; sort of like a time capsule, and impromptu house parties. It was curiosity that got me to participate in Nuit Blanche this year because it was my first time actually participating and observing an art event that began at 7pm and lasted till 7am. …show more content…

Nuit Blanche is an excellent way to proceed this inning through the fact that it is free, and can transport individuals out of their houses and away from their television screens and social media in general to socialize with their fellow citizens – to gain a more cultural understanding of art that take place in innumerable forms. It is especially important for young people to have events like this that do not (ineludibly) involve the consumption of alcohol. Generally speaking, there were people getting intoxicated, but it was also quite nice to see the streets full of young people after 2am that were doing something other than stumbling home drunk after a night of binge
