The pseudoscientific claim that I am investigating would be a particular claim made by the website Skin Magazine. This particular online magazine is advertising the product Nue-Vitality. Nue-Vitality is known to be an anti-aging formula that has made quite the miracles in women’s lives. This formula is described throughout the advertisement to be the miracle of the decade (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d). Also, it claims that, “She looked 15 years younger in literally 2 weeks! (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d, The Best Skin Solution You’ve Never Heard Of section, para. 2).” According to this advertisement, this is a product that many celebrities are taking advantage of to look significantly younger. Celebrities are particular fans of using this product because it is considered and proven less invasive, compared to plastic surgery procedures. …show more content…
Doctors were shocked and thrilled to find out that this product has “taken 10-20 years off of women’s appearance in just a month (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d, The Best Skin Solution You’ve Never Heard Of section, para. 2).” Doctors said the two key ingredients for this anti-aging formula that is proven to work is “Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d, So What Is It? section, para.1).” The two main ingredients are known to be natural ingredients that complement each other in vanishing wrinkles and lines at the cellular level (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d).” Vitamin C is known to “penetrate deep into damaged skin and stimulate new collagen – a protein which makes skin appear plump and firm (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d, So What Is It? section, para.2).” According to a study done in 2009, “applying non-prescription Vitamin C to your skin caused a large reduction in fine lines and wrinkles (“Wrinkle Miracle”, n.d, So What Is It? section, para.2).” Therefore, doctors believe that because of that statement, the Nue-Vitality product is effective in doing the
