Despite the fact that most people used the terms "nuclear fusion" and "nuclear fission" interchangeably, there are actually quite different in various ways.
The main difference between nuclear fusion and nuclear fission is their origin. Nuclear fusion is occurs when two or more atoms fuse or combine together, whereas nuclear fission is a splitting of two or more large atoms and tern into smaller one.
In addition, the conditions which will make this two processes occur are different. Nuclear fusion will occurs when the substance is big enough and neutrons have to move fast. On the other hand, nuclear fission only need a high density substance and high temperature environment.
