As an Administrative Assistant III, I monitored budgets and invoice records for over 50 contracted public and private community agencies and vendors ranging from $25,000 to $2.5 million, verifying invoices for accuracy, completeness, and ensure contract compliance with grant requirements for processing. I further monitored, tracked, and prepared expenditures reports for audits, processing and preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly administrative reports. I analyzed contract benchmarks and looked at program’s historical expenditures to predict fiscal spending for the rest of the grant period. Based on current and historical spending, I would propose and make budget modifications throughout fiscal year and duration of grant project to best meet the benchmarks as outlined in project and contracts or defined by Program

This isn't a problem from the technical side of things, fairly easy and straight forward. There is some basic hardware we would need, the cost for the hardware/software is minimal and/or provided as part of the service with some of the vendor options. We will need to make sure we are compliant with PCI regulations and ensure we are meeting the minimum levels of security required to keep customers’ credit card information secure, this shouldn't be a problem. There are some business decisions to make as far as which vendor would be best for us, they vary a little regarding fee's etc. and I'm not sure what impact there would be if some of these vendors may be sitting on our cash flow vs being directly deposited into our account (eg. paypal/square…

For assignment 5.1, I chose to interview Jake Carmany, Business Manager at Norton City Schools. I have to say that I did not realize the amount of tasks and responsibilities this role entails. Jake explained that he is responsibility for all classified staff (i.e. maintenance, custodial, aides, food service, and transportation).
