1. What percentages of your events are created in ERS vs. somewhere else? -None because each of the 14-18 mentors we hire each semester must host 2 events per month and that would mean you would have that number of students logging into the system; while I could designate 1-2 students or my GA to post events on the ERS system for the PM’s, I think since we do so many, unless I could have my own section for our program, it might get confusing for students to have to scroll through so many events but I am open to ideas. My (pipe) dream would be to incorporate a requesting approval for events feature into the project management system.

Adding what from the proposed system would give the most efficiency gains-- the workflows, the ability to assign students to mentors, sending information emails more easily, or providing the ability for mentors and students to communicate using a tool that stored everything centrally? - To be blunt, all of the above. I do all that now, with the exception of the workflow, I add reminders to each student’s calendars when I can, but I need more of my “systems” to be in one place. I am using forms on our website in a password protected section, which gets sent to another email account so it doesn’t clutter my own but I have to check it, then I have to check spreadsheets to make sure they are keeping up with RSVPs, their notes, follow ups, and student contacts; I have to check the Note Taking System weekly to ensure they are taking notes when they meet with students as well as what kind of information is being collected and the list goes on. It’s too disjointed and cumbersome for me to keep up with everything this way, which I had never planned to do; I created what I am using now temporality to see what kinds of information and systems might work so I could articulate the system I would need to manage the
