Offic365 upgrade pitfalls.
• Outdated versions of MAC OS are not supported, example: The Office365 installer will not run successfully on any MAC OS older than El Capitan. –– The solution here would be to coordinate with Phil and John to back up the user’s files and upgrade the device.

• In most instances, MAC OS needs updates applied before Office365 installer can run successfully. - Solution: If the installation fails, we will need to perform the OS updates then reattempt the installation/upgrade

• MAC OS version: El Capitan required disk permission repairs for Office365 software activation to be successful. - Solution: The permission repair was completed manually using disk utility  first aid option.

• For user profile with delegates such as shared resource example: Calendar, Contact, etc. …show more content…
• We have encountered older version MAC OS devices where the hard drive is locked or Grayed out, thus preventing us from performing an OS upgrade. – The solution to this issue is to back up the user files and reimage the device with the appropriate supported MAC OS. – Another solution here would be coordinate with Phil and John to back up the user’s files and upgrade the device.

• A subset of users from various agencies has requested to retain the older version of powerpoint application due to formatting conflicts with the older presentation, removing the older version of Office suite is vital to the upgrade process due to conflicts. - The solution here would be to revert the installation, reinstall MS PowerPoint 2011 component (only) and then perform a custom install for an office365
