Nt1310 Unit 3 Assignment 3 Risk Analysis

Let’s say that we have calculated effectiveness (assuming PD=0,8; PA=0,9; PI=0,6; PN=0,4) and it equals to 0,8 x 0,9 x 0,6 x 0,4 =0,1728.
Remember, the conditional risk formula?
Assuming again, that probability of attack and relative consequences both equal 1,0, conditional risk R= 1,0 x (1 – 0,1728) x 1,0 = 0,8272 ( or we can say that the risk equals 83% if rounded).
Is it a lot? It depends on conversion table we will use to present numerical value as adjectival. And what it is mean?
For example, a conditional risk value of 0,8272 would indicate that risk was at 83%. What this finding would mean is that out of 100 perfectly identical attacks, statistically the adversaries would win 83 of those attacks. Stated differently, a risk value of 0,8272 means the PPS fails 83% of the time and successfully defeats or “neutralizes” the attack only 17% of the time.

I utilized a recording application on a cellular phone to record the interview and a pen and paper to take notes for both the interview and for the HSA meeting. No consent form was used for the interview but the interviewee gave verbal consent to be interviewed and recorded with the assurance of personal anonymity. The interview consisted of 20 prepared open-ended questions and some supplemental questions asked for purposes of clarification and elaboration. I attended the HSA meeting for observation and information gathering purposes only. I interviewed Patricia in a public facility on campus during off-peak hours on a Saturday morning to provide a quiet, informal setting and to ensure relative privacy in a secure and neutral setting for both…

In the first video, the teacher talks about how it is important it is to start teaching children how to use critical thinking, and how to promote creative thinking and questioning. She uses a box of objects linked to the lesson, and has the students inquire why those particular items are in the box. For the lesson to be effective, the teacher uses content relevant to the children to help them understand the concept of a thing versus an idea. I think one of the most important things she discusses in the video is the idea of cognitive space. Waiting for the students to have an idea or an answer to make sure they understand the lesson.…

I have conquered numerous mountains, but I might not be able to climb another one. Back in August 2015, I and my friends took a trip to East Java as a graduation present for ourselves. There were 3 mountains in our itinerary: Mount Merapi, Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen. My father once said that a good mountain climber should have three essentials: strength, determination and humbleness. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the last one as I used to be an arrogant person that time.…

Identifying and managing risks is a critical responsibility of project managers. Risk is defined as the probability of a specified threat and the subsequent impact that the event produces (Vaidyanathan, 2013). Risks can also bring about either positive or negative outcomes for a project or organization. A project manager must identify potential risks and evaluate each one to determine the severity and likelihood of each event. Only by completing the risk management process, a project manager can determine what approach would work best to avoid, mitigate, and/or transfer the risk.…

Identifying Risks & Strategies For successful project managers, ignoring risk management is not an option. In the words of the great Sir Winston Churchill, we must “let our advance worrying become advance thinking and planning.” The identification of risks must be planned and incorporated into project definition and ongoing throughout the life of the project to prevent the need to consider and manage a crisis (Schwalbe, 2014). The project manager for Industrial Supply Industries (ISI) has been given a new project to initiate to enable their employee community to maintain some of their own personal human resource (HR) data.…

Quantitative risk analysis is the one which follows the Qualitative analysis, and gives a numerical priority rating to project risks (PMI, 2009). Based on the PMBOK (PMI, 2013) quantitative risk analysis “… is the process of numerically analyzing the effect of identified risks on overall project objectives (p. 333).” This is also a process for the PM and project team to get risk data to support making decisions, which can help to reduce project uncertainties (PMI, 2013, p. 333). Based on the prior researchers’ statement, the Quantitative Risk Analysis is more complicate and even the most difficult part within risk management since it requires statistical and mathematical methods to be operated (Purnus & Bodea, 2013, p. 145). Inputs of this…
