Front Panel connectors – This Connects to the front audio parts of a computer case, Power LED, Hard drive LED and the Reset switch as well as the Power switch.
Front Panel USB 2.0 Connectors – This connects to any USB 2.0 Ports located at the top or in some cases the bottom of the computer case.
Front Panel USB 3.0 Connectors – This connects to any USB 3.0 Ports located at top or sometimes the bottom of the computer case.
Southbridge – This allows the CPU to communicate with SATA Connectors, USB Ports, Ethernet Ports, PCI Slots, PCI Express X1 Slots, and On-Board audio. The Southbridge is also referred to as the, Input/Output Controller Hub (ICH).
Northbridge – This allows the CPU to communicate with the Graphics Card as well as the RAM. This

The CPU collects program instructions from RAM and deciphers it and then processes it, then once done it sends back the gathered results so that the specific components carry out the instructions. CPU is the brain of the computer.
Hard Drive – The Hard Drive is the main backing store device in the computer; it stores as well as retrieves information. USB is one of the hard drive connections and it is most common connection type. Once the computer has succeeded in connecting with the drive, you will be able to read and save your files within seconds. Fire wire is another type of connection. Is tremendously fast that’s why it is mostly used to transfer video files.
Ports: USB, Parallel, Serial
USB Port – In a single port in can support up to 127 devices. It has a maximum cable run of 5m.
Cables
Optical Cable – The cable is used to send digital audio signals between devices, with a rapid connection.
Twisted Pair cable – The cable is used for serial connection as well as networked connections.
