This week assignment was a little confusing because I have never done a diagram with a computer software. Even though creating a diagram on a computer looks easy to do, it is different when you must make sense of it and guide people to understand it. Before I decided to choose a program, I went ahead and drew a draft of the network diagram with pen and paper. I sketched the diagram so I can have an idea of where to start and what I wanted to reflect on my final draft. Then I proceeded to use the Viewportal, but it was not helpful because I have a MAC computer, so it was difficult for me to understand. As a result, I researched many programs, but most of them fail me because they were difficult to understand. For example, I used an online website called SmartDraw, from https://www.smartdraw.com, which at the beginning was perfect and great for the Lab, but then I realized, the program did not offer that many tools to work with unless I paid for the premium version.

Professor Hyde recommended this software; I should have gone for it right away. The only thing, I did not like was that I had to installed EdrawMax in the computer, so it works better, but I do not regret installing the software because it was easier to use than the others. Comparing other software, the EdrawMax it is meant to help the user to create a diagram and move stuff around freely. However, the program was not a 100% user-friendly for me, maybe because I would have preferred to draw the diagram myself instead of trying to work with a program that I have never used. Due to the software not being user-friendly, I was not happy with the results of my diagram. I feel that I could have done a better job if I had more experience with the different software
