Kaitlyn is a female student who is 10 years old. She is from a military divided home and lives with her dad, stepmom, and 2 stepsisters. Kaitlyn is a vibrant young lady that enjoys being in school, she works very hard and her favorite reinforcer is praise. She is diagnosed with Mental retardation and has had seizures in her past. She currently has a stent in her neck. Kaitlyn performs at a first-grade math level.
PLEP: Kaitlyn has been introduced to word problems but has not been able to successful complete the connection from reading to math. She is able to do two step addition when written vertically but cannot solve when written horizontally.
