Nra Advertisement Analysis

To my colleges and concerned citizens, it is undeniable that the un-relaxing efforts of the NRA and the support of its many political advocates have led to a weapons crisis and influenced the recent change in the Georgia State Handbook. In light of the enormous influence the NRA has on the government and, therefore, on this university, its revealing to watch the associations most recent video commercial advertisement. The NRA concocted this vigorous ad a few weeks ago, however, it was pulled shortly after it was aired for having too candidly expressed the associations policies and goals. To go more in-depth on the ad, it called on all righteous patriots to bring the “clenched fist of freedom” down on the heads of anyone who does not comply. I believe it is reprehensible to indirectly threaten a parliamentary caucus without receiving criticism. In addition to their ad, the NRA also recently authored and financed governor Nathan Deal’s newly signed House Bill 280, addressing and morphing the on campus carry law which bans our freedom to carry a gun anywhere on campus. If someone were to have incentive to impair a faculty member, he/she would have no trouble doing so. We have been given the social identity of marked and easily killable, in a society wherein every citizen (in good standing) is assured the right to bear arms by the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution.
