Novichok is described as one of the deadliest nerve agents ever made. In 1980 the Soviet Union developed the secret chemical. It has been such a secret that only a few scientists outside of Russia have had any real experience handling it. Its existence remained secret until the mid-1990s the mid-nineties, when information regarding its production was revealed as part of a deliberate leak by disgruntled Soviet scientist and whistle-blower Vil Mirzayanov.
