Novelty: The Role Of Change In New Perspectives

Novelty by definition is the quality of being new, original, or unused. The world is constantly changing along with the humans that live on it. While it’s not always visible, it is a persistent phenomenon. Change is a continuous part of life that may be frightening at times, but at others it can be simply superb. Change allows individuals to see life in new perspectives, often forces them out of their comfort zones, and proves that anything is possible. Every day is a new experience, and with experience comes knowledge. Without change people would never learn from their mistakes. However, today’s technology is rapidly improving and no one can stop it nor slow it down. It’s change, all we can do is embrace it. As an example, in 1876 when the first telephone came out surely people were alarmed because of the fact that it was now possible to verbally communicate through technology. However, today a technology company such as Apple, releases a new device or a software update almost every year. Through change there are a number of opportunities, possibilities, and experiences in which people could never have been imagined without exposing themselves to new ideas.
Some people may argue change is a bad thing. However, without change life wouldn’t be as extravagant. Change is what this world is based on. For example, without change there would be no butterflies, only caterpillars. Another example would be, how Andrew Carnegie’s discovery of steel helped prove that there were other options rather than iron. His discovery also changed the way companies build structures such as bridges and skyscrapers. Not only did this advance society, it also had a hand in the knowledge that makes it all
