Nothing Is Impossible For God Essay

Nothing is impossible for God. This is all that I can say. My Father had a stroke on Oct 2012. It was a sudden accident which occurred and we had to rush him to Advocate Bromenn Hospital. The doctors told us it is a serious situation and he would survive only for twelve hours, Since his brain was severely damaged he also needed a surgery to relieve a pressure from his brain. Later the doctors told they had almost lost my dad on the operating table but continued with the surgery even though there was no hope. They said that at the point people lost hope in receiving a healing or a miracle, God’s work of extending God’s kindness began. I have experienced this in my life. My father started recovering and there was improvement in his condition. …show more content…
These thoughts started bothering me and when I started reading the Bible, I felt that I was drawing close to God’s presence. I got the answer in John 3:16 that stated “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” There was one thing that I realized and that was about God never leaving us in a good or a bad situation. God was always present, close to hear us. It was God who sacrificed God’s only son, Jesus Christ, so that we may be saved and receive a better life. I found peace thinking “What a God we have who even gave his only son to die on the cross!” Since this experience, I started reading Bible and decided to follow Jesus Christ for my entire …show more content…
As members of the body of Christ, we have certain task to do. Each member is gifted with a unique gift of the Holy Spirit. Some are called to minster and serve, some are called to preach and teach, some are called to pray for healing and miracles. As the scripture teaches us, that faith comes into cation when we listen, we are called to live out our Christian faith through the Christian tradition of praying to God. This requires using one’s voice and we see that mentioned in Matthew 17:20 which mentions that if we have faith, as small as the size of a mustard seed, we will say to a mountain, “move from here to there,’ and it will move.” For this, we just have to pray with faith and believe that we have received it, and we will. According to my personal belief in God, God will remain faithful to me and will help me to and others experience the light of the world which is Jesus

Even in the midst of shock and disbelief they needed a visible reminder of God’s presence. There were no words to fix or even begin to explain the horror of their grief but my mere presence helped to point them to God’s never-failing love and presence in the midst of the worst day of their lives. When I returned home from that emotionally and spiritually exhausting visit, I immediately walked the prayer labyrinth in my backyard. As I walked and foolishly prayed for the “right words to say”. God reminded me (with a fat raindrop to the top of my head) that I was not alone, the family was not alone; God was present with us in the tears, grief and the subsequent anger and doubt after a loss of a young life filled with so much potential.…

In the book Joy Unspeakable, Walter Brueggemann notes, lament is the language of prayer in the mouth of people who believes that God will answer, hear, and respond. Prayer has a power if we pray and believe it, we can receive any good thing through Christ. We see in the Biblical story that Isaac prayed to God for his wife, because she was barren; and the lord granted his prayer, and his wife Rebekah conceived. The Love of God God is the creator of all life and he is the highest of all powers, he embodies all ‘persons’ (The Father, The Son, and The Spirit). Although we cannot be as him, we should try to follow his guidance. In this world, it is easy to get wrapped in earthly things. We are humans, and many of times we fail by trying to hold a certain status, gain certain materialistic possessions, and cause great emotional/physical harm to one another. In my beliefs, that is not the way one should live.…
