Have you ever noticed that when you get the proper amount of sleep and rest that you feel better? Your thinking is clearer, you can complete all the things on your to-do list and you have more energy. Without the proper rest you make more mistakes, your cognition is slower and you lack energy. Failure to get the proper rest jeopardized your overall health.
Sleep promotes and contributes to psychological and physiological restoration of the body. During sleep, your bodies biological function slow down. The heart rate, blood pressure and respirations all slow down which contribute to restore the biological processes. The body has a natural time clock that regulates the sleep and wake clocks. There are two systems that regulate these cycles
