Time has past seen my last cattle drive. I remember the cattle as crazy a rattlesnake 's tail. We moved the cattle from texas to kansas. I been there many times. For those how don 't know me, I 'm William John Billings. I regally from Texas. I am from a huge ranch left when I was 11 years old. I heard cattle most my life. Thats have all changed, I have settled down now. I desire to settle in Kansas now. I have Looking at a mule tail the land now. I found me a pretty big pieces out of Dodge City. We have been together for awhile now and we have been settled for a little while now. We thought about having kids. The time has came with the third one on the way. We have a daughter named Grace Elisa Martin Billings and son named Jim Worth Billings. Grace is 8 years old and her brother Jim is 5 years old. Now got so little rats of are own, I gusse. As for me, I never thought I would have settled down and own a ranch. With that we have about 2,500 to 3,000 head of cattle on 700 acres. We call are little piece of land Sweet Bar Ranch. With Sherane want some chickens, sheeps, milk cow, pigs, goats, dog, and a cat. I think some time, I 'm running a circus instead of a ranch. Sherane due anytime now. As for Grace and Jim there excited to have a new little brother or sister. Grace hope it a girl, and for Jim he does now what to expect. I just hope it alive. As this old west it hard life. It not just for anyone. As time have changed. We live about a mile and a half out of town. When I was growing up we live so far out, it would take most of the day to get to town. As Grace and Jim love to shot of firework with me, and there grandparents. As Sharon 's father is the Sheriff. The problem on of the best sheriff, this town has ever seen. As Grace and Sugar will be in the annual town race. The “Youngsters Fourth Race”. As the price is $ 100 dollor. I told Grace she gets half and we get the other half to, take care of Sugar and her friends. Grace has practice has she never end practice before. She is determine as a cattle rustlers to steal the right from underneath the lord noise. There have been only a few girl that have done this race seen it start nown have won it. She is determined to be the first girl to win the race. In the past, girl have got second, but never first. The race is this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Grace only has three more days to get ready. We gather everything we need sugar, flour, and Jim a new toy seen, his birthday coming up. Grace raced home and we just took a snale time. When we got home, Grace was brush out Sugar, and Jim rode her around that, was as rare as snow in the middle of summer in Kansas. Time has came for the anillin race.
