Shooter And Sarge-Personal Narrative

Improved Essays
“Not quite.” Sam told him. “This story ends with everyone involved in the incident just disappearing immediately afterwards, leaving their wrecked cars behind?!”
“Interesting!” Jim said as he thought about Shooter and Sarge. “Anyway, Monique said that 's it 's out in the country, so you 'll have it all to yourself. After I get my 45,” He told Sam as he nodded his head toward Mary. “We 'll head over to the Police indoor shooting range where I will sight-in my new handgun and both of us will get in some practice time.”
“The weather reports predict nice weather today.” Sam said while looking at the weather app on his phone. “Very little chance of rain for the next couple of days in fact, which will be a big help.” Pausing for a couple of seconds

“We were in the lobby of the hotel, because of the two men who had been chasing us in their car. I was hiding in the phone booth behind them as the two men confronted Jim. I couldn 't hear what they were saying but when I saw the tall one take the weapon out from under his jacket, I got worried about Jim 's safety and I yelled. When they turned around towards me, Jim jumped the shorter man, Sarge. The taller man, Shooter, then shot Jim with his weapon and Jim collapsed onto the floor! The two men then just vanished into thin air like a couple of magicians, but without the puff of smoke.” Sam looked at her without saying a word as she then continued her story. “I ran over to Jim and he was, he was dead!” She said it as if she didn 't believe herself, as a tear formed in her eye. She cleared her throat and wiped away the tear as she continued. “He had no pulse or respiration and his skin had turned that ash-gray color and it was cold to the touch.” Sam just stared at Mary as she paused again with the unbelievable story. “I went to medical school where we worked on cadavers and I know what death looks like!” She paused again as if waiting for an answer to a question that wasn 't asked, then continued the story. “I can 't explain his recovery. It might be an act of God, a miracle, I can 't say for certain, but what I do know is that his body was lifeless for about an hour and …show more content…
“Muscle is heavier than fat” Jim told her as he smiled at her.
“You bragging again?” She asked with a smile as she wiped her face again.
“No brag, just fact!” He told her. Then, looking at Sam, he told him. “That 's when Agent LeTrek walked up and stood there with a look of amazement. He and Mary then helped me to stand up and walk to the Chief Director 's Office.” Jim paused for a second, then he continued. “When we were in the Director 's Office trying to explain,” Jim said. “That 's when I realized that the last thing I remembered was standing and talking with the two men in the Hotel 's lobby.” Jim paused for a couple of seconds, then he half jokingly asked Mary. “Oh No! I wasn 't hugging a trash container in a alley again, was I?”
“Not this time.” She told Jim with a smile. Then looking at Sam, she said. “And you now know the whole story.”
“Yeah, I heard what you said.” Sam told her as he sat back up taking his elbows off of the table. “No offense, but I 'm not sure if I can believe it.” Sam said as he looked back at Jim.
“It 's true!” Jim said. “You can believe whatever you want, but I told you what I know and you know Mary doesn 't
