“Worried Sick” by: Nortin M. Hadler, M.D., describes the effects of unhealthy habits, cancers, and cardiovascular disorders of octogenarians have changed over the course years. The human species are expected to live approximately to the age of eighty-five.
Unfortunately not every person will live to see their eighty-fifth birthday. The human species are now interested in becoming an octogenarian more than ever. An octogenarian is classified as a person who is from eighty to eighty-nine years of age.

When a person becomes stressed their blood pressure rises, breathing becomes more rapid, digestive system slows down, pulse rate rises, immune system goes down, muscles become tense, and you may even lose sleep(Nordqvist, para.8). Psychological stress may occurs when our minds perceives an inability to cope with a “challenge” of some kind. Physical and psychological stress will tend to interact and react with one another to produce even more stress. There are five different components of psychological stress: pressure, frustration, conflict, threat and loss. Anger, anxiety, depression, feeling of loss of control, fear, and isolation are all emotional symptoms of psychological stress (What is Psychological Stress, para. 1-7; 12).
