In the Journal OUTGUNNED: THE HONDURAN FIGHT AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL COCAINE TRAFFICKERS the author dialogs about Honduras saying, “Recent estimates now declare this region to be the chosen route for drug traffickers, with an estimated 90 percent of the cocaine destined for the United States traveling through Central America and Mexico.” This deception of the government benefits the drug traffickers to cross their merchandise through The Northern Triangle. Some of the organized groups that are in The Northern Traingle are the Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations, Domestic Organized Crime groups, and the Transnational gangs.
