Living up northern Minnesota is one of the greatest areas to live in. You never have to ask yourself what you want to do. That is one of the greatest problems to have because it just makes your life a whole lot easier. You’re not stressed or bored about what you want to do. When you’re up by the lakes all day, all you want to do is just relax and be in the hot sun. The environment around northern Minnesota is honestly something else. Everyone is just happy, relaxed, calm and just having a great time even if the weather isn’t as nice.

The reason why I say it’s a big deal because everyone is jealous of you. Everyone has heard amazing and fun stories about how busy the lakes get on the Fourth of July or how people just love the area so much. Being on the boat every day is something that everyone wants to do. Since I get to do it every day, I look at it differently that what other people look at it. I look at like that’s just an activity that we enjoy to do and it give us something to do. Other people look at it as relaxing and just getting away from everything like the city and all the traffic.
When the weather starts to change, and people start to close their cabins. Labor Day is a sad time for up north. It’s sad to see all the boats being put away and docks being put out. It starts to get really quiet and loney up north. People only know northern Minnesota for our summer. In the winter, we have huge, ice fests on the lake and everyone goes ice fishing and snowmobiling. The winters do get pretty chilly but they’re not all that bad.
I love being from northern Minnesota. In my opinion, it’s the best place in Minnesota well beside in Minneapolis. I love Minneapolis just as much as being up north. Being up north, is just so peaceful, relaxing and being able to go on the lake is my all-time
