1. What are the strategic decisions facing the organization? There are several strategic decisions facing North Star Community Support Services. First, as the new CEO, Louisa identified the agency was not fully aligned with the needs of the community. Hence the organization should review its programming based on the needs of the community. This can be made through developing short and long-term organizational goals. The organizational plan needs to clearly indicate the resource the organization needs to meet it short and long-term plans. Second, despite its reputation in the community, the agency has also characterized as bureaucratic in its nature because of its government funding sources. The bureaucratic nature of the agency could be a potential hindrance which creates gaps in addressing the community needs that Louisa observed. Prioritization of program implementation areas should me made with the consultation of the stakeholders. For instance, workforce development unit may face budget cut as the recession is over. The unit should introduce alternative sustainable and innovative workforce strategy to persuade government and receive budget required to the unit. Workforce development unit operates with government fund focusing job placement and training in response to Great Recession. However, the Recession is over which lead government budget cut to this unit. Furthermore, the unit has an expensive unit cost per client and require a long period to achieve the desired goal of employment. In view of this Louisa should consult stakeholders and donors the idea of either terminating the workforce development unit or revising the unit to align with the current needs of the community and
