The Northern Hemisphere is able to afford the goods that surround them such as high technology machines to increase the ability to manufacture along with being able to produce a military force that can be supported. This places the Southern Hemisphere at a significant disadvantage when it comes to trying to catch up and being as developed to the Northern Hemisphere. At this rate, the Southern Hemisphere is always going to be at a disadvantage because the goods that they are producing aren’t as equal to the North’s. This places them in a cycle where they are always going to be inferior and it’ll take them a lot longer to be developed. The Northern Hemisphere is able to take the cheap goods such as soy, sugar cane, and raw metals, and turn them into things that can actually be used and turned technology/machines.
