North Korea’s constitution highlights freedom of religion, freedom of expression and democratic voting. Unfortunately, for the country’s citizens; this is far from the truth. The country claims to run under the “Juche” ideology, or rejecting dependence on others using one’s own mind, and believing in one’s own strength. Due to this ideology, roughly 12 million people live in extreme poverty and do not have access to basic human needs. This paper will discuss North Korea’s culture, terrain, significant past military conflicts and weather.
Very little is known about North Korea due to its closed-country policy, thus not many citizens travel outside the country and not many visitors make it into the country. Because so little is known about
