Movement has to do with the way that someone walks, are they walking with confidence or are they timid in their movements (Floyd, 2011)? Whereas gestures are more focused on the hands and head, these are used “to illustrate speech and convey verbal meaning” (Matsumoto, Frank & Hwang, 2013). There are four zones called “spatial zones”, they go from largest to smallest in this order; public distance, social distance, personal distance, and intimate distance (Floyd, 2013, pg. 199). These are just two of the ten channels that we communicate with each other through nonverbal
