Nonprofit Organizations Case Study

In module two, we discussed two important things for nonprofit organizations: Managing the Resource Development Function, defining audiences and developing a case. Nonprofit organizations should keep track and improve every area of the organizations in order to obtain the best results. By keeping tracking and improving, nonprofit organizations will maximize their net income which will help them to grow. Just in the same way, in order to make improvements, an organization should be listening to the outside world and it should respond to the outside world comments in order to give the organization a better shape. Weinstein(2009) in his book “The Complete Guide to Fundraising Management” (2009) on chapter 3 and 4 focuses on analysis and planning of nonprofit organizations, in doing so we can notice the important role of effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, these chapters focus on budgets and financial resources to maintain the nonprofit institution working and how ethics are important to its development. Just in the same way, Miller in his book “The Nonprofit Marketing Guide” (2010) discusses the importance of recognizing your multiple target audiences, segmenting your audiences into groups, creating personas to describe your groups and focusing on your audience’s …show more content…
Nonprofits organizations have ethical standards, and the organizations that follows those ethical standards are the ones that retain their donors. Ethics brings external responsibilities such as stating the truth in fundraising, marketing and public relations, protecting environment, etc. In addition, it has internal responsibilities such as ensuring worker health and safety, ensuring equal opportunity in all human resource activities, etc. Ethics have 3 main areas.
