In this time of tight financial crunch and lack of government resources, where do some of our citizens find help? Nonprofit organization (NPO) becomes more needed than ever in our community. It is a term coined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), defined as a tax-exempt organization whose revenue turnover should be used entirely to enhance their charitable amenities. NPO plays an essential part in social, economic or beneficial in all communities.

Mr. Craft passion was all about feeding hunger children and families of the community. Since then ECHO has thrived in main different social unexpected issue such as emergency assistance to families who suffer house fire, job loss, food& clothing assistance, homeless assistance, and Gift of Hope program in Eastern Hillsborough County. Also provides life-stabilizing programs such as GED, stay healthy mom-to-be course, career transitions, basic computer classes and others. According to ECHO, “We find that our clients come from all works of life. There are no stereotypes of the proud people who come to our door each and every week looking for a leg up of a difficult situation. No matter who walks into our building, they are treated with the respect they deserve for the courage they demonstrate to lift themselves up. We’re honored to provide a helping hand, and encourage anyone to call on us in times of need. We’re also a great resource for homeless assistance Brandon residents can feel safe confiding in” …show more content…

The Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO Brandon FL) provides immediate relief in the forms of food, clothing and household items to those residents of Eastern Hillsborough County that have experienced a recent emergency. Since its inception in 1987, ECHO FL has assisted over 180,000 individuals, over half of whom were children, with the basic life
