The goals and objectives focus on training volunteer advocates and providing a CASA for every child who needs one. While the goals were aggressive, they were met with much success noting substantial increases in finance, volunteers, and staff. The program provided a draft version of the successor plan as the end of the current strategic plan nears. Although the focus is similar, it has broadened the scope of the reach to measure quality of advocacy. The program implemented procedures and protocols recommended by Praesidium in regards to screening, selection and matching of volunteers, as noted in the strategic plan draft. The draft plan is well defined and focused on quality in program and volunteer effectiveness, financial sustainability and reaching the vision of a CASA for every child who needs one. The board focused on gathering information to ensure the compensation was appropriate. They requested a salary survey of the Top 20 CASA’s in the nation and salaries from other area non-profits groups. Recognizing supplying support staff to the ED would ease some of the day to day stressors of the job, they are acutely aware of the need for a strong leadership team. The ED reports that she feels much supported by her board that provides her retention incentive with the program. . The board also expressed interest in other ways to support the ED.
