Have you ever felt that someone was lying to you? Ever had a feeling in your gut that something was not right and you could tell that the person is not being completely honest with you. Their words were telling you “yes”, but their body said otherwise. Non-verbal communication helps us understand the differences from how someone acts instead of hearing them speak is called “body language.” “Body language is a type of nonverbal communication. Usual things to look for in confident people include good posture, solid eye contact, great speech, moderate tone of voice, and no abnormal gestures. As well as analyze other people's body language, you can use this knowledge to speak feelings that you're not actually experiencing. Ideally, when you stand up to deliver a presentation or work with groups, you want everyone to be active and engage in the project. Some of these signs and signals are heads down, eyes are gazing, people on their phones, talking while your talking, and people working on other things.
