Non-profit organizations are a critical component of creating a safe environment in key communities. Any non-profit organization that drafts a social justice mission to help others, must be committed to developing abilities to accomplish its complex ethical responsibilities to the larger culture, to the employees, and to the clients it serves. In this course we will look at the elements of an ethical organizational structure and importantly, that includes developing an understanding of what organizational justice is and the components of a just environment. Children and adult clients that have experienced adversity and interpersonal violence are expected to experience injustice as part of their exposure to trauma.
