Non-Prescription Drugs: A Short Story

Personally, I think all non-prescription drugs and alcohol should be illegal.However, I'd rather see Dad high on cannabis than drunk. At least it's safer.

"That's it Dad," I said. "That's strike two."

Later that night, Martha and I were in bed, talking.

"That's it Larry," Martha said. "Your father has got to go."

"But where will he stay?" I asked. "He doesn't have the money for an apartment andthe only retirement home is the metro area is located in the town of Torbay."

"Perfect! The farther, the better."

A brief silence filled the room. By the look on Martha's face, it was like she wanted to tell me something.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"I'm just frustrated with your father," Martha said.

"Really? There's something else on your mind."
