Non-native species should not be brought to different environments because of the harm that they do. Do you know that there are over 380 non-native species in the Great Smoky Mountains? Kudzu was brought to America in 1876 for a fair that celebrated America's hundredth birthday. Afterward, gardeners in Florida used the plant as easy food for animals. Kudzu was used to prevent erosion. Consequently, the climate in the Southeastern part of America, which is hot and dry, is perfect for the Kudzu. So, Kudzu began to choke other plants from sunlight. Unfortunately, weed killers don’t kill Kudzu either. Therefore, non-native plants such as the Kudzu, should not be brought to different environments.
Thirdly, Zebra Mussels damage the ecosystem and docks. Zebra Mussels were brought to North America accidentally on a boat. Zebra Mussels kill native mussels by attaching themselves to them. However, Zebra Mussels also damage the fish industry. Zebra Mussels also damage human equipment. For instance, Zebra Mussels damage boats, docks, and machinery for water treatment. Therefore, non-native species such as Zebra Mussels, should not be brought to different environments.
Conclusively, non-native species such as the Zebra Mussel, the European rabbits, and the Kudzu should not be brought to different environments. We need to keep animals and plants in the environments that they belong to, so that they don’t cause any

Emma Marris presents us with a new way of viewing nature in the first chapter of her book, “Rambunctious Garden”. She explains that the definition of nature depicted in our “glossy magazines” describing a place “somewhere distant, wild and free” is incorrect, as it “blinds us” from the truth (Marris 1). Marris argues that we must adjust this definition to also include the nature found in “the bees whizzing down Fifth Avenue in Manhattan” and “the butterfly bushes that grow alongside the urban river” as well as the nature found in “managed national parks” (Marris 2). She uses experiences gained during her time spent in the forests of Hawaii and in Australia’s Scotia Sanctuary as evidence to support her argument. Marris also makes the point…

The kudzu plant was introduced to the United States in 1876 at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia and to the Southeast in 1883 at the New Orleans Exposition. The vine was widely marketed in the Southeast as an ornamental plant to be used to shade porches, and in the first half of the 20th century, kudzu was distributed as a high-protein content cattle fodder and as a cover plant to prevent soil erosion (Pieters, A.J., 1932). The Soil Erosion Service recommended the use of Kudzu to help control erosion of slopes which led to the government-aided distribution of 85 million seedlings and government-funded plantings of kudzu which paid $19.75 per hectare ! By 1946, it was estimated that 1,200,000 hectares (3,000,000 acres) of kudzu had been planted. The climate and environment of the Southeastern United States allowed the kudzu to grow virtually unchecked (Everest, 1999).…

Many exotic and non-exotic animals are endangered. Being endangered means there are only a few of them that exist by the reason that others had died. This is primarily by the cause that people are killing them by hunting them or only because they are altering the ecosystems and animals can’t survive. Also, they are obtained by an illegal sale. A reason of this is that they are under protection of animal advocacy organizations such as Best Friends Animal Society, Dumb Friends League, Human Society of the United States and many more.…
