Discipline Of Marine Corps Essay

As a Marine, the civilian world sees us as an immaculate figure to the United States. In a way giving us the respect and honor we so proudly earn. Inside the Marine Corps we learn to honor these values and morals we received since boot camp. It molds us to become disciplined and show this figure to others. If we loose focus as a Marine we sadly decline that and become to be a lesser than normal civilian. The discipline and the honor fades immediately. One example of this is disrespecting senior enlisted or officers in the Marine Corps. If a Marine looses focus and becomes a candidate to such wrongful behavior an NJP (Non-Judicial Punishment) will be implemented from our UCMJ (Uniformed Code of Military Justice). To name a few articles like Article 89, 90, 91 and 92 will come to affect the Marine 's personal and professional life for such negative acts he commits. As Marines not only as NCOs or SNCOs but any rank starting to the most newest Private to the oldest General has to implement order and discipline to improve our rank structure’s future in the Marine Corps. Being that leader and mentoring in such ways will in fact save Marines from losing rank or capital gains that will affect that married non working mother of three or even that NCO mindset of a Lance Corporal. How are we showing our leadership towards our new Marines if we act in such manner? Eventually a student will act like his master. Who are we to blame but ourselves for such acts towards our senior enlisted peers and our officers if they are being disrespected.
