The non-custodial parent (NCP), Mr. O’Bair’s testimony revealed that he contest these findings of the Lien Unit to take funds out of a joint account because he has been paying child support for about six years. The NCP stated his child support at the present as ordered by the judge is $600.00 per month. He stated he has not missed a payment in the last four years. He stated the reason for the back child support is that the child’s mother was receiving some type of assistance from the government. Therefore, he was already behind when he got on child support. Then he added that he was in the hospital for about three months, moved to Texas, and was not working; then the child support increased. He stated he got a job and that he has been paying child support. He stated when he went to court, the judge ordered $670.00 for support; he could not afford that, so he went back to court again, the judge decreased the child support to $600.00, and add $10.00 for the arrears. He stated the judge ordered him to pay $610.00, he does not understand why he is getting a lien/levy on his …show more content…

The CP requested paternity to be established, establishment of child support order, medical support, and enforcement. The CP TANF period was September 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010 and the non-TANF period May 31, 2010 to the present. The NCP was ordered to pay child support of $293.00 per month effective August 1, 2010. The child support amount was modified to $669.00 per month effective April 1, 2014. The NCP filed for a rehearing that was granted May 9, 2014.
