Non Conformity Research Paper

In this paper I'm going to look at how nonconformity is just another way of conforming. This topic can be interesting when you dive deeper how people behave. I believe nonconforming is another form of conforming even if they have opposite definitions. Many companies try to "think outside the box." This is supposed to be nonconforming but, because everyone is trying to do it, it is conforming. Other examples of this are people becoming hipsters, goths, and skaters, also when scientists try to come up with new ways of thinking about ideas. What is more, we cannot measure or say if something is non conformity or conformity. That is based on each person's insight but, if someone does nonconformity for the sake of nonconformity, it is conformity because when someone tries to be different they end up being just like everyone else who is trying to be different. Moreover, when one decides to make a cart with round wheels, they are not necessarily being conformists. They are evaluating the situation and then they are using the thing that makes the most sense and works well in that instance. …show more content…
If one break away from society's norms to express their creative self, that is usually useful, but, if one break away by doing something to harm someone or something that is usually harmful. The largest thing these two different things have in common are the fact that the things that the people do are just following other people's ideas. What we believe is something we are doing differently is most likely something you learned from somewhere else. All "original" ideas come from other ideas that are changed or combined. If one goes back far enough all ideas are based off of natural instinct. There is no way to escape from being a conformist. Every single thing has another side of it so, if one stops doing one thing, there is another that they're now doing that replaces the thing they stopped
