Simply put, I have always looked for knowledge. For years I have read nonfiction rather than fiction, I have always found comfort in the known and since then have strove to excel at understanding and contemplating the unknown. I believe that with the help of a well regulated and up kept community of people with the same interest as me, I will be able to understand the material provide in my coursework at UIC. The reason I and many others go to a university is to learn, of course they have an end goal of a job at the end of their studies but for many others more during their coursework realize that the set path they have and are taking is to learn about what they think is valuable.
