The movie is based off of the 2001 novel written by J.K. Rowling. The novel connects to the Harry Potter Series because it is a textbook that Harry used in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first novel of the Harry Potter series. The movie, directed by Harry Potter vet David Yates and written by J.K. Rowling, is cute and whimsical, and all the things that are associated with the brand. But it’s also abundant with political symbolism.
