I believe that it is absolutely wrong for Nolan to even consider telling Borman about SofTech’s cash problems. As employees of any company, there are certain rules that apply to everyone. Those rules include keeping information pertaining to the company within the company. No one outside of the company should be aware of the cash problems that another company is having. By telling Broman of this situation, Nolan can possibly lose her job if the company finds out that she was the one who shared this information. As an employee, and specifically as the accounting manager, it is Nolan’s ethical responsibility to keep all confidential information within the company. Nolan should definitely tell the appropriate SofTech officials about the paper order being postponed. It is important that the proper administrators are aware of this issue. Everyone is anticipating the printing of the documentation. If this order does not go through, then it will seriously affect the company. If she informs the proper administrators of this issue, then they may be able to come up with another solution to pay for the special paper. Hopefully, whatever solution they come up with will not affect the company too negatively. By making the proper judgement, Nolan could possibly save her job.
