Have you ever though, who made words or who made the dictionary?, Our who made words the way they are today?. Well your in luck today because I am going to tell about an important man name Noah Webster. Well Noah Webster impacted our contry by giving us the first American dictinary, he simplified spelling, and he also gave us the alphabet. this is why he is an impact on us and many more he has done so much for our contry.

Noah Webster made are first American dictionary it helped our country because it help are laugange become a proper language.He though that he could give our language an American feel, it get's us close to being an independent country. Webster was quoted as saying, "Now is the time and this the country in which we may expect success in attempting changes in language, science and government. Let us then seize the present moment and establish a national language as well as a national government,." As he was stating that making this change will help us as Americans become more independent. He tried his best to make our English simpler for us so it will be easier for other people to understand because English is a very hard language.he made a lot of changes for example. He changed the –ce in words like defence, offence, and pretence to –se; abandoned the second,as for all these changes, he also silent "l" in verbs such as travel and cancel when forming the past tense; dropped the "u" from words such as humour and colour; and dropped the "k" from words such as publick and musick. And there is so much more.Webster has made so many changes in our language that I myself am so amazed
